Have you wondered why God permits so
much suffering in your own life? You may
ask: Is there any meaning in my suffering?
This book brings the "Job speaks today series" (9 books) to a
conclusion. In the same way as Job is an example of a Bible
character that was allowed to suffer much and to speak
to us boldly about suffering in ages past, I see the apostle
Paul as an example of a New Testament minister that was
called and allowed to suffer much in the days after Jesus
died, rose again and ascended to Heaven. When we read
his epistles, we see he had a special insight and exhortation
about suffering for all believers. He rejoiced in his suffering
for Christ! These insights speak to us about what purpose
God has in permitting us to suffer. And what glorious effect
suffering for Christ may have on our character in this life
and what glory we will taste in Heaven.
