Ari Urhonen - Pastor of Evangelical Free Church in Seinäjoki, Finland - about the book, "Jesus - our guide to Heaven"
"We are living in a time when people are searching for hope - yet few can clearly point to where it is truly found. In a world where suffering, fear, and uncertainty mark the daily lives of many, Kristian Sand's book, "Jesus - Our Guide to Heaven", offers a refreshing and timely message. It breathes personal faith, biblical depth, and hope inspired by the Holy Spirit.
I've had the privilege of knowing Kristian as a man who doesn't just talk about the Word of God - he lives it. Together with his wife, Ritva Sand, he walks in deep commitment to the ways of God - paths not given lightly to just anyone. His message has been formed in prayer, refined through trials, and shaped by the voice of God. This book is not theoretical; it is authentic, lived reality - and that's why it resonates so powerfully."
Irmeli Schüz - MD, Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist, Finland - about the book, "Healing for your bad emotions"
"Kristian Sand closes the gap between author, book and reader: In a downright way he lets us understand his own struggles and thus gives us the unique opportunity to identify with difficulties and learn how to cope with resistance, loneliness, rejection etc. We can look behind the scenes and learn for ourselves. This sort of writing demands humility, but gives therefore an effect in those who read the texts.
A special characteristic in Kristian Sand's books is also the ability to mediate his strong faith in God–without being invasive or pushy. He describes God as a living and loving God, who will not leave nor forsake his own. This encourages the reader in pursuing the path of faith, irrespective of circumstances and to strengthened roots of personality."
Asko Matikka - Missionary, MA, pastor, counsellor therapist - book: "A search for restfulness"
"In this book Kristian has honestly shared his struggles with his way of life that has brought him several burnouts. Since his childhood. Kristian has wanted to be the fastest in sports, be it skiing or downhill gliding with as ledge. Whatever he has done he has always put his whole heart into it. And that includes serving God. He has done it with everything he has and in full speed. He has experienced God's provision and protection innumerable times. God has become his Daddy, who loves him and guides him.
God gave Kristian dreams through which He gently called His servant to slow down. It took a long time before Kristian understood the message God had graciously given him. The dreams were very clear, but their interpretation and fulfilment took many years. And that is one of the main messages in this book: God does speak to us, but His timetable is not the same as ours. It may take a long time for us to mature for the fulfilment of a promise or a prophecy that God, in His infinite wisdom, has given us. I can warmly recommend this book to anybody who wants to learn to walk in tune with Jesus."
Ari Urhonen - Pastor of Evangelical Free Church in Seinäjoki, Finland - about the book, "The Lord gave and took away" - about Job's suffering:
"Kristian Sand, missionary and Bible teacher, is a writer who in his books goes bravely into things deep under the surface. This is shown by the fact that out of the Wisdom books of the Old Testament he has chosen particularly the book of Job to be the theme of his new book. Suffering, adversities and making sacrifices would seem to teach us more than success and superficial living. But, of course, you often have to pay a high price for these lessons, which not all Christians are willing to pay. One can also turn bitter in tribulations. Sometimes one feels that too many tests and hard trials hit the areas where they hurt the most.
Kristian Sand opens the themes of suffering in a therapeutic and touching way through the lives of several characters of the Bible and the experiences of his own family. In Kristian Sand's text you can sense the gentle and releasing breeze of the Holy Spirit to the suffering Christian, who is struggling with misunderstanding, vulnerability, guilt and shame. Although we do not find the final understanding of the problem of suffering here on earth, we can find the understanding of the greatness of God, who can give us a similar experience to what Job had. "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You." (Job 42:5) A new reality in fellowship with God opens up in the path of suffering."

Niilo Närhi - Mission Pastor, Kerava Pentecostal Church - about the book, Paul - the suffering Job of the N.T:
"In his new book, Kristian Sand, introduces his readers to the teachings of the apostle Paul and a few other biblical figures on the subject of suffering. And not only their teachings, but also what suffering produced in their lives. He also shares with the reader excerpts from the periods of suffering that he and his wife, Ritva, have gone through during their long service in ministry. Upon reading them, it becomes clear that the author's insights into the suffering of Paul, Job, and others have become a part of his own lived experience. The well-known spiritual song "Through Suffering to Victory" has deeply touched thousands of believers in the Lord.
My prayer is that this eye-and heart-opening book by my brother-in-law, Kristian Sand, will help many Christians who are struggling in the midst of various forms of suffering to place their trust in God and His promises. Though Christ did not promise His followers a life free from suffering, He did promise to be with us every day until the very end of the age. Paul experienced this, and so have the millions of believers who have grown in the school of suffering."
P. G. Vargis - director of a large Indian mission - about Adventures of faith:
"I have known Rev. Kristian Sand and his wife, Ritva, for over 15 years. (In 2000). They worked with us training our leaders, conducting Pastor's seminar in many of our regions all over north India, teaching in our Bible Schools. I am always challenged at their vision and burden for India and their sacrificial life to see His Kingdom extended in this nation with one billion souls. Their testimonies are really fresh and colorful. I will recommend you to read their book in your quiet time – to feel the pulse of a couple dedicated for missions, to feel the heartbeat of Jesus and to hear the cry of the unreached. It will be like reading the book of Acts continued into this 20th century."
Martin Reen - Charismatic preacher from north Sweden
"It is a very good book. (On Father's Lap). In all your books I really appreciate the simplicity and vulnerability in your writing. It is so powerful to read, because you really open up your life and share your struggles. I really respect that. Thank you for being a forerunner and father in the deliverance and inner healing stream in Scandinavia.
Yes, rest is so profound, and yet it is something we need to learn again and again. You shared a lot of powerful stuff about in your book "My Times are in your hands." So glad you wrote this and good timing, as I believe many people will be helped by it when they can achor themselves in Christ when their own theology is shaken. Maybe in recent years the theology of suffering is missing with all the new trends and winds going on."
